A Passion for Patient-Centered Pain Care

“I’m an anesthesiologist by training, but I wanted more personal interaction with my patients. Pain management gives me the opportunity to truly understand people’s struggles and help them find real solutions,” he explains.

With chronic pain affecting more than 100 million Americans, Dr. Gamburg serves as the primary coordinator and consultant for patients seeking specialized care. While the program includes a full multidisciplinary team, every patient begins with Dr. Gamburg, ensuring expert guidance and a cohesive, personalized treatment plan.

A Leader in Interventional Radiology Collaboration & Advanced Knee Preservation

In addition to his spine and nerve expertise, Dr. Gamburg also collaborates closely with some of the top interventional radiology specialists in New York, New Jersey, and Florida on a cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedure known as Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE).

GAE is a groundbreaking, image-guided treatment for knee arthritis, offering patients dramatic pain relief and improved mobility without the need for total knee replacement. This innovative option is ideal for patients who are not ready for surgery or wish to avoid the long recovery associated with joint replacement.

Dr. Gamburg’s involvement with leading IR physicians in multiple states underscores his commitment to bringing state-of-the-art, clinically proven alternatives to his patients.

A Pioneer in Minimally Invasive Spine Procedures

Dr. Gamburg is nationally recognized as one of the earliest physicians in the country to utilize coblation energy for percutaneous disc removal, transforming the way disc pathology is treated.

He is also highly skilled in:
  • Facet nerve radiofrequency ablation
  • Sacroiliac joint radiofrequency procedures
  • Unipolar and bipolar RF technology
  • Fluoroscopy-guided precision interventions

Exceptional Outcomes & Patient Results

Within his practice, Dr. Gamburg performs over 3,000 procedures annually, maintaining a remarkable success rate exceeding 80%. Procedures last approximately 30–60 minutes, and most patients return to normal activities within 24 hours.

Patients benefit from conservative care options such as physical therapy, spinal decompression, acupuncture, and integrated regenerative modalities, all within the same center. When indicated, minimally invasive procedures are performed at the Advanced Center for Special Surgery, a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical facility in Montvale.

Commitment to Innovation, Safety & Practical Care

“We offer proven technologies that treat spinal and orthopedic pain efficiently, allowing patients to maintain their work schedules and daily activities,” Dr. Gamburg says. “My goal is always to perform only what is necessary and rely on the lowest amount of medication possible.”

Dr. Gamburg is widely respected for his clinical precision, dedication to patient well-being, and commitment to the most advanced, minimally invasive treatments available today.
